Oral-B Essential unwaxed floss comes on a 50 metre spool, which is the longest we stock and the best value per metre. Unwaxed floss is thinner than waxed, and some people prefer the feedback it gives, since it squeaks slightly against a properly clean tooth surface.

The trade-off is that unwaxed floss shreds more easily in tight contacts. If yours frays or catches, waxed floss is the answer rather than giving up.

How to Use

• Break off around 45cm and wind most of it around your middle fingers
• Guide it gently between two teeth without snapping it onto the gum
• Curve it into a C shape against each tooth and move it up and down
• Use a clean section for each gap
• Use once daily, ideally at night before brushing
• See a dentist if bleeding continues beyond the first couple of weeks
