DERMA ROLLER 0.5MM

A 0.5mm derma roller is a handheld device with fine needles set into a rolling head, used at home on the face. It sits at the shorter end of needle lengths, which is the range generally considered suitable for home use rather than a clinic.

This is a device that breaks the skin surface, so hygiene is not optional. It is for one person only and must never be shared, it needs disinfecting before and after every single use, and it must be replaced once the needles dull. A blunt roller drags and tears the skin rather than making clean channels, and that is how people end up with marks rather than improvements.

Important

• Never share a roller with anyone, for any reason. It penetrates the skin and can transmit infection
• Do not roll over active acne, pustules, inflamed skin, eczema, moles, warts or broken skin
• Rolling over active breakouts spreads bacteria across the face rather than treating anything
• Do not apply retinoids, vitamin C or acids immediately afterwards. Skin that has just been needled absorbs far more than usual
• Use sun protection afterwards and avoid strong sun for several days
• Speak to a dermatologist first if you have a skin condition, take blood thinners, or scar easily

How to Use

• Disinfect the roller head before use, following the instructions supplied
• Cleanse the face thoroughly and dry it
• Roll gently in one direction over one small section at a time. Lift between passes rather than dragging
• Do not press hard. Pressure does not improve the result and does cause damage
• Apply only a plain, soothing product afterwards. Leave actives for another day
• Disinfect the roller again, dry it, and store it in its case. Leave several days between sessions
