Mavala Scientifique K Plus Pro Keratin Nail Hardener Applicator, 4.5ml

Scientifique K+ is Mavala's formaldehyde-free penetrating nail hardener, and that is the main reason to choose it over the original Scientifique. It contains dimethylurea along with crystal resin tears, a gum from the pistachio mastic tree grown on the Greek island of Chios, which supports the nail's own keratinisation.

Like the original, it is neither a base coat nor a polish. It is brushed from the centre of the nail to the tip, on bare clean nails, and left for a minute with the hands held downwards. Keep it off the cuticles and the skin around the nail, since hardening the skin there is uncomfortable and not the point.

How to Use

• Remove all polish and any oily film, and clean the nails thoroughly
• Brush from the centre of the nail towards the tip only
• Leave for one minute to penetrate, holding your hands downwards
• Avoid the cuticles and the skin around the nail
• Use two to three times a week until nails are stronger, then reduce
• Follow with a base coat and polish afterwards if you wish
