Mavala Scientifique K+ Nail Serum, 5ml

Mavala Scientifique is a penetrating nail hardener, and the first thing to understand is what it is not. It is neither a base coat nor a nail polish. It is a treatment applied to bare, clean nails, and specifically to the free edge, the white tip beyond the fingertip, because that is the part of the nail that splits and breaks.

It is used sparingly, no more than twice a week, and never on the cuticles or the skin around the nail. Hardening the skin is not the aim, and it is uncomfortable when it happens. Wipe away anything that runs onto the skin straight away, and check the label for any warnings before first use.

How to Use

• Remove all polish and any oily residue, and clean the nails thoroughly
• Brush onto the free edge of the nail only
• Leave for one minute to set, holding your hands downwards
• Never apply to cuticles, under the nail, or on the surrounding skin
• Wipe away any that runs onto the skin with a damp cotton pad
• Use twice a week at most, then reduce once nails are stronger. Read the label before first use
