Eucerin's foot cream is built around urea, which is the ingredient that separates a proper foot cream from a body lotion used on the feet. Urea does two things at once: it draws water into the skin, and it softens the hardened keratin that makes heels rough and cracked. Ordinary moisturisers only do the first, which is why they never quite fix a rough heel.

The single most effective way to use it is at night, with a pair of cotton socks over the top. Feet are covered for eight uninterrupted hours and the difference over a week is substantial.
